Fire Safety in Catering Kitchens
This course is especially designed for anybody working in a catering kitchen, large or small where the risk of fire can be very high.
Objectives
On completion of the course the participants will be able to:-
- I.D. Fire risk in kitchen area.
- Understand the different classes of Fire.
- Know which type of fire extinguisher to use.
- Be capable of using a fire blanket.
- List the actions to be taken on discovery of a fire or fire alarm activation.

- Fire risk in catering kitchens.
- Classes of fire.
- Triangle of fire.
- Safe use of fire extinguishers.
- Wet chemical fire extinguishers.
- Practical use of fire blanket.
- Emergency Action.
