FIRE SAFETY AT WORK
This Basic Fire Safety Training Course trains participants to deal with fire on an emergency basis. It emphasises the danger of fire, the importance of prevention and th enecessity of urgent action when fire breaks out.
Objectives
- Understanding the fire Triangle
- List actions to be taken in the event of Fire
- Understand Evacuation Procedures
- Evaluate and (if safe to do so) fight the fire with the correct extinguisher

- Speed of Fire
- Understanding fire & smoke behaviour
- Action in hte event of fire and on hearing Fire Alarm
- Choosing the correct extinguisher
- Tackling the fire
- Raising the alarm/Calling the Fire Brigade
- Evacuation Procedures
- Role of Fire Warden/Marshal
- Fire Drill
Method of Training
This course will be conducted by a competent Fire Safety Advisor with the use of flipchart, DVD, aids & PowerPoint Presentation.
